Hi, My focus wont start, turns over ok but does not start, I had greenflag out and there were no faults to be read from the OBD. He Injected fluid into the air intake and that did make it fire up momentarily.
My car is a 2010, Ford Focus Zetec 1.6 TDCI. I just need some assistance to as what this could be as the garage isn't coming up with anything! The car only has 71000 miles on the clock so it's not exactly worn out and it also had a FULL service at 63000 miles so is due another in 2000 miles!
Posted September 5, 2020. Hello all. I have bought a non runner mondeo tdci 1.6 2012. I won't have a proper computer to try till tomorrow but done the dash trick to get codes this is what I got. F00616, c15100, c42268, c40168, c41568, c41668, c42068. Can anyone shine any light on these or common faults on why it won't start!
After I managed to get it off the carriageway, park it somewhere safe, switch it off - it wouldn't start again. I've had it towed home, I've hooked it up to my laptop, using Forscan and ELM327. I cleared the DTCs (maybe I shouldn't have) then restarted it to get the fresh ones. I get DTC P2458 which is about the DPF regeneration duration.

Hello, I hope someone can help me. I purchased a 2007 ford Focus 1.8 TDCI from a local independent garage a few months back. It has had issues starting from cold (cold engine and cold morning), at first it would start on the second attempt and it gradually got worse.
They should all come on for a lamp test, then most go out except handbrake, oil, and maybe one or two others. There will be a diagnostic code available if the Engine warning message is on. Code readers are cheap (under £20) and easy to use, and the codes can sometime help.
